The paper deals with the significance and general characteristics of tablets in education. A special emphasis is devoted to Tablet Apple iOS alternative platforms. Its attention definition of terms and classification applications related to multimedia teaching iPad tablet supported on iOS platform, especially application iBooks Author. In conclusion argues against the use of Apple iPad tablet type in the current primary, secondary and tertiary education.
