LABORATORY TRAINING TO SUPPORT AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERING SKILL

The presented article deals with educational practice for automotive engineering at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Technical University of Košice, in flexible and adaptable laboratory classroom. This paper focuses on presentation of reference model of training laboratory for automotive engineering based on good practice, correspondents with requirements for visual learning and action learning of Product Design approach. The closing section of the article provides the vision of the information technology support to using the visualization in training process of automotive engineering.

THE CONCEPT OF TECHNICAL LITERACY, AS PERCEIVED BY STUDENTS OF PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHING STUDENTS AND BY PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS

The article presents selected theoretical definitions of technical literacy, featured in scientific literature, followed by an analysis of the results, based on a research of the subjective perception of the term technical literacy by primary school teaching students and primary school teachers. The article includes the identified basic types of characteristics of perceiving the technical literacy by the respondents.
ANALYZE ONE OF THE CAUSES OF THE BAD KNOWLEDGE OF CZECH PUPILS

The paper presents views on the assessment of knowledge the pupils and students tested way. Author proves that if the student chooses from four offered one correct answer, so this method will always be a certain number of students have successfully passed the tests without anything learned. The author believes that it is necessary to restrict testing. The greatest attention should be paid to the practical computation examples, analyzes of problems and finding a logical solution procedure. The author would like produced an open discussion on this topic.
READING LITERACY WITH THE SUPPORT OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY

The paper deals with the development and literacy skills in the Czech Republic by pupils at primary schools in relation to the current curriculum. It points the need for the usage of information and communication technologies for development of reading and general development of functional literacy. The research is carried out through a questionnaire survey and structured interview with teachers.
